Lightness is the keyword for this creation.
Zignago Vetro has developed an innovative packaging project for Mutti: a glass jar with a distinctive design, conceived to highlight the quality of the products and reduce environmental impact.
The jar and its details
Two elements make this container unique and immediately recognizable: the Mutti brand’s famous lions, sculpted directly in the glass as a tribute to the company’s 125 years of history, and an optimized structure that uses a lesser quantity of glass than in the past.
Ours is a concrete gesture in view of a more sustainable supply chain, in which aesthetics, functionality and responsibility for the environment come together.
Besides its appearance, Lion Jar has been designed to keep environmental impact to a minimum. By optimizing the production process, it has been possible to reduce the quantity of glass used, thus diminishing CO2 emissions throughout the product’s entire life cycle.
In fact, just in 2025 adopting the new Lion Jar will avoid more than 550 metric tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to the annual absorption capacity of around 22,000 trees.
From 2026 onwards, the saving will be greater than 1,100 tons of CO2 a year.
Lion Jar is the symbol of an informed choice and shared commitment on the part of Mutti and Zignago Vetro to construct a more sustainable future.
